A Walk Through the New Hotel
I have been looking forward to taking a look inside the new 19 bedroom Belvedere Hotel and Golf in Bridlington for some time. I had watched in anticipation as the structure was completed, with doors and windows fitted, now was my opportunity. My first sight was that carpets were fitted, decoration complete, and lighting in place.
My first impression was one of space. As I looked along the corridor the wide space was very impressive. I had not expected so much. As we entered a bedroom on the first floor it was the sheer size of the room which impressed the most. All rooms are en suite with modern design of furniture and charging points for computers and phones, plus a place for the all important tea/coffee making facilities.
The view from one bedroom window gave a wonderful view over the 18th green at the adjoining Bridlington Golf Club, whilst the view from the second window provided a birds eye view of the first tee, the fairway and on to the first green over 400 yds away. Very impressive. Downstairs, I then moved on to the room which will contain the golf training studio.
Once again it is the size which impresses, with ample room for spectators or guests. The room I am reliably informed will be fitted out within 3 weeks with a computerised indoor training suite which will allow everyone the opportunity to play all the worlds top golf courses, or perhaps have a lesson from a PGA approved golf instructor, or alternatively just to have some indoor fun when perhaps the weather prevents outdoor golf. As I move on workmen are busily fitting the lift which will give access to everyone.
Finally the reception and golf shop maintain the theme of space, yet to be fitted out I am sure they will both be equally impressive. Food and bar facilities will be provided in the adjoining golf clubhouse. The Hotel stands within the grounds of the Bridlington Golf Club and only about 300yds from the wonderful Bridlington South Beach, so it should prove to be a huge success, to golfers and non golfers alike. I am advised that whilst the opening date has not yet been confirmed bookings are being taken from 1st September, whilst in all probability it will be fully open long before then. Come and see it. You will not be disappointed.
